Expressions of Interest for Supernumerary Pre-registration Training Posts for Clinical Scientists and Clinical Perfusionists

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) Healthcare Science is soon to open its annual call for expressions of interest from NHS services wishing to host supernumerary pre-registration training posts in Clinical Science or Clinical Perfusion.

These posts provide a pathway for science graduates to join the NHS and train in a specialist area over three years, potentially including an MSc. Successful trainees will achieve registration with either the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists, depending on their specialty.

This initiative supports workforce development and helps ensure a strong pipeline of skilled Clinical Scientists and Perfusionists across Scotland.
